At the end of the two days, 100 people made a public commitment to work together to improve women’s quality of life. Finger Lakes National Forest (Show)

Description: 9 Hiking and mountain bike trails provided to allow you with a better opportunity to see and enjoy the forest at close range. For directions and trail maps, stop into the ranger station and peruse the 24 hour information booth. Our personal favorite is the Interloken Trail that traverses the forest from North to South. Dispersed camping (B.Y.O.Tents) is available for free along the trails and in three campgrounds (Blueberry Patch Camp, Backbone Horse Camp and the Potomac Group Camp) for $10 per night.

Description: Sampson State Park was once a naval training station, then an Air Force base before becoming a state park. Military roads and buildings have been replaced with grasses, wildflowers, shrubs and trees on flat, rolling woodlands surrounding ravines. Characteristics: The deepest and widest of New York's Finger Lakes and the second deepest lake in New York State. Seneca Lake is home to more wineries than any other Finger Lake and has frozen over only nine times since the beginning of weather record keeping.
